low beam headlight noise

just noticed yesterday when i put my lights on low beam got a terrible noise like a sort of loud rattle buzz noise
put to full beam nothing at all switch lights off nothing at all

anyone have a clue what this is, i have a 1999 MWB transit pickup dropside

Hi check the plug on the back of the headlight bulbs. I had mine do the same thing it turned out one of the plugs was melted. If one is all melted just nip to yr local scrapyard and cut one out of a car, make sure theres plenty of wire with it.

i had the same also.i thought it was the relay but while it was buzzing one of the headlights wasnt working.
i got hold of the plug on the bulb and wriggled it about.it stopped buzzing and so far so good.
deffo sounds like the same problem.

Are they self levelling or adj height??.. had same with a mondy motor must have fell off inside, just pulled plug off (not bulb obviously)

Could possibly be a bad earth at the headlamp giving a back circuit to the "lights on" buzzer or one of the relays chattering. Where is the noise coming from?
