Fitting electic radiator fan

Postby minimadmatt1975 » Sun Apr 04, 2010 12:52 am

Want to replace my viscous fan with an electric one for a quicker warmup (running veggie oil) and wondered about the setup in the DOHC petrol mk5's. I haven't looked at one in the flesh but thought if the hose connections are in the similar positions its probably easier to swap the rad and fan in together. Does anyone know if this is the case and is the fan switch mounted in the rad or somewhere on the petrol engine. Many thanks Matt

Wont make any differance to warm up as when it's cold the stat stops the water going through the rad anyway :?
