Basic service is easy if a bit messy!
You should change the oil, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter.
I would stick some injector cleaner in the tank too and take it for a blast to clean up the system.

"Forte" is the best stuff, fill the new diesel filter with it when you do the service :D

A white MK5 will be diamond white, but there are many shades of this "colour" :P

If it was me i would go for the slick 50 double pack. Once you have done the service add the oil bottle to your oil and then add the fuel additive to a 3/4 or full tank of derv and it shold be fine. I always use this as it seems to bring engines back from their death!! 8) 8) It is a litle costly @ £20 ish but well worth the expenditure! :D
