Spares for 92 Transits..Where do I go??

Postby asquith » Fri Jun 30, 2006 2:15 pm

Hello to All
I am new to this and I am looking for quite a few spare parts for 3 mk1 transits. I have a list and chassis numbers for two of them the third is a 190 and I am desperate for front brake pipes and hoses. I only have a pic and rough measurements for these. The spares are for a disabled friend who has found a new interest in old transits. Could someone help/point me in right direction please

You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

these are 17 digit chassie numbers and not mk1, i think you need to put the year or reg numbers putting asterix as the numbered part of the plate, then we can help you :D

I don't have too much trouble with the Mk2, most of the running gear is Mk3 anyway. Lots of the brake and steering bits are available as generic parts from most motor factors, ie Lucas for electrics like alternators and Lockheed for brakes.
