Axle swap question??

Will a mk 4 twin wheel axle fit onto my mk 3 transit??? Mine is a 1990 G reg and the axle is from a 1996 N reg. Is it a straight forward swap or do i have to modify the axle?

not really sure about how the swaping would go becuse the n reg 1 is 15inch not 14 like you have on ur g reg 1 but saying that is the n reg 1 a 190 6 stud if so then there 15inch or the 80 100 or 120 14 inch i think there the same hope some else will be able to help more then me
