Postby doughythevanman » Fri May 07, 2010 3:16 pm

Can anyone give me a heads up on water pumps?? Was going to get one today and the guy on the phone said there is 3 different types?? :? I have a 98 ' 190 LWB with the banana engine. I know there are different manufacturers but not different types! :? :? :? Could someone also give me the best cambelt manufacturer as i think @ £10.95 the one i have been offered could be budget and with the mileage i will be doing i dont want it going!!

Cheers for any help lads!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I'm only aware of one type of waterpump for the 2.5Di. If you get a cambelt kit which comes with the new auto tensioner than that will be fine.

Hi there. I've just bought and fitted one of these water pumps from transit parts uk £24
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TRANSIT-WATER-PUM ... 2311wt_941 Very helpful and will check your van reg etc.. but as MrMPuk says they should all be the same.

Also got this timing belt kit £46.

Both good sellers and arrived quickly too.

Hope that helps.
