Can you adjust the mirrors so that they are tighter. at the moment i set them and drive off. as soon as i reach 30 the bloody things moved. sometimes the top comes in sometimes the whole lot folds it. god help me if i hit a twig. i can see me self then :shock: :lol: :oops:

Can't help too much as my mk3 was an ex fire brigade model with smash proof :shock: mirrors :D :D :D

This is common with the Mk2 chassis cabs, I would have thought that Ford would have sorted it out by now. If it won't tighten up, try gumming it up with superglue. It's an art though, don't put too much on! I once returned from Paris to find Gary had tried to shove the best part of a tube of supercglue at one of the mirror arms, in the rain. It ran down the door, and when the wet gets to superglue it goes white. So it looked like a 2ft streak of permanant bird sh*t. Stayed there till we had a respray..... :twisted:
