When I had one a long time ago- about 20mpg :(
After the 'mechanic' fixed it, it did about 18mpg :shock:
Always smelt of petrol :cry:
A tenner; probably 40 to 50 miles depending on your load and driving habits.(go on. :twisted: use the kick down :twisted: )Watch the petrol guage move :lol: :lol: :lol:

4.55L = 1Gallon.

Mines a 4 speed auto and does about 22 round town, not taken her on the Mways yet so cant tell you that.

As for the vac pipes, has it had a carb conversion? to a twin weber? most of the vac pipes are just to weaken the mixture on overun, with one being for the vac advance on the dizzy.

Talk to Bortaf on here, he does this all the time to Cortina's...might be an entire engine swap but talk to him as he will definately be able to point you in the right direction.

Well I thought, if you're gonna drop a 1600 in it, why not an injection lump. It might be possible to change just the head.
Gassing it sounds good too, never thought of that :!:
How much would gassing it cost :?:
And yeah, injection is definately more efficient. Economy and performance 8)

Efi would be just a head swap though to get full MPG you'd be better off changing to a high comp engine (IE the compleat motor from a granny or sierra).
fairly easy to do, the tank will be the hardest bit.
