flareside would be 70 ps according to ford brochure

personally if i were ford i would have just had the 115ps engine as standard in every transit makes more sense just to build one engine :?

you sure? out of 3 100 lwbs all on s plates, 2 are 76ps (now liberated to their former glory :D ) and one 70ps. all were from same rental co. and all from same dealer

i am only going by ford brochure looks like it could be an optional extra but i seem to remember back in 98 /99 ford were putting 76ps engines in place of 70ps as a no charge extra :D

JONNYSHAG , MY VAN HAS THE GRILL ON THE WING , THE AIRFILTER BOX CONNECTS TO IT , NOT TO SURE IF THE AIRBOX HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE AIRCON BUT I SUSPECT IT DOES .

The triangular grille on the passenger side wing was used on A/C equipped vehicles and the 115TDi series.

The air cleaner assembly has to take it's intake feed from there because of the Intercooler placement on 115Ps engines, this was in the gap where the normal air intake was.

On A/C vehicles, the electric cooling fans for the A/C was in this position.

76ps Tourneo

Postby transit jono » Wed Nov 16, 2005 5:13 pm

Just a 1995 Tourneo GLX that has had a replacement 76ps di fitted and goes very well.I understood that all later lwb vans had 76ps engines, this performance being down to the di pump and injectors.
On a perious work panel van i fitted a lwb 76ps pump/injectors but a Bosch pump and Cav injectors,it smoked a little with my boot down but it flew.
Would love to uprate my current panel van to the heady heights of 80ps,any suggestions?
Going to unload the Tourneo, will never use it-interior to nice.
