:D Very many thanks for all the info. As the pads needed changing I thought that changing the discs at the same time would save a job next year. I'm going to make a strt tomorrow and all being well I might just manage one wheel all day!!!!!

Hi all, need a bit of advice please.

I have a 2001 Transit RWD and need to replace the front discs but have 'rounded' the Torx head fitting on one of the 5 recessed bolts securing the hub + disc assembley.

So the question is whether theres any other way of getting the disc off ?
Or, any tips on how I can try to get the bolt out as it would be a real bu**er to drill out and there no access to be able to cut the head off / weld a new bolt head to it, or anything like that ?

My understanding is there is no way to remove the disc unless I get the hub assembly off but would be delighted to hear if theres another way to do it.

Only other options I can think of is to cut the disc off with a grinder in the hopes I could then get access to the bolt head.
OR buy a whole new hub + stub axle assembly which I really dont want to have to do !!

Thanks in advance,
Rich.
