hiya lads right full is pumping out of the filter ok as there was a swimming pool of diesel on the floor its firing on all injectors beacause i cracked everyone open and the engine tone dropped

After everything you've said it would appear to be a pump problem.

Are you sure the pump is the correct one for the engine?
Check the part numbers on the id plate.

If your sure that the timing is spot on, and the fuel system is ok it points to a trip to a lucas dealer as your next move.

If they plug into the system with their diagnostic tool, they can watch the advance and the fueling in real time.

The old Laser 2000 tool they had was more powerful than the software Ford dealers had on FDS2000 and WDS

the model number of the pump was 8720B050A the pump i got was one didgit diffrent 8720A050 checked with the dealer he said it would be ok

that last model number of the pump i missed the a off on the end it was 8720A050A

thanks lads for all your help right you where spot on nighthawk the new pump had a internal fault on it so it went back so ive now decide to have my old pump recon should be abit cheaper and at least i know its the right pump as there are three diffrent types why don they just make the one standard pump that fits all as it would make life easer but being a novice like my self ive missed a week with head scratching so im hopeing to have pump back today and see what this old girl pulls like so ille let youse know later just hope am not scratching my head again am going to ask fred transit if he can help load some pics of me van

well its finaly going it was the injector pump got a replacement pump the second one set the timing tournd it over cracked one injector started first time the only other thing now is one of the wheel bearings is screaming its head off are they the same set up as a car inner and outer bearings and does anyone know are they a pain to do and what costs thanks lads

They are easy enough to do, depends on if its front or rear though, the rears are one complete race. You either need a press or a bloody big hammer and something the same size as the outer race to beat it out with, sometimes you can get away with a drift but sometimes they wont move unless you can get even pressure all the way round.

thanks rover its the front i think because the rear of the van is seald off from the back and when ibrake the van judders
