condensation inside van!!

Some builders, who use their vans for t breaks annd carrying labourers to and from sites etc, give their vans a couple or more coats of emulsion I think just internal water based emulsion on the inside of the roof area. It can get dirty so you just give it an other coat and you can even have a change of colour scheme now and again.
It does seem to work anyway,try it and see you can always try boarding, carpeting if it doesnt. But make sure it is completely free of any grease or dirt and perhaps even quick scoof over with a piece of 180 or 240 grade emery

you need to eliminate any thermal bridges, metal is a thermal bridge as is glass so if covering the inside with wood you need to glue battens to the outer surface and then screw the ply to the glued on battens NOT to the strengthening ribs in the roof as the screws will act as a thermal bridge (effectivly joing the outside temp to the inside, thats what causes the condensation) Most camper shops sell carpet by the metre especially for the job, will work if glued direct to the outer skin (inside of it obv) but linning with wood is the best way.
Failing that the cheepest way is to get one or two of those spinning vents for the roof, one to take air in and one out, the warm air escaping will take some of the water in the air with it and cut down on the condensation doing both is the best way
