I'll ask the ebay guy if he has a transit one then as that's more likely to give me the same steering wheel position if the capri is a shorter boss. Then i'll have to find a decent steering wheel!! will a mountney boss fit with all 6 hole wheel then? like say this one :

It says at the bottom that it fits a momo, does that mean it will fit a mountney?!?! (Steering wheels are another mystery to me incase you hadn't noticed!)

No momo is different to mountney!
astrali is the same as mountney!! but you can get adapters!!

So I can get an adapter for this wheel if I wanted? any idea where I could get one? I looked on fleabay but can't spot any......

right the transit boss is the short stubby one which might sit your steering wheel too close to the indicators.

the capri is longer and is what i used on my smiley face as when fitted with a mountey steering wheel gave roughly the same distance from the indicator arm as the stock steering wheel .

my new one is momo. momo has a smaller diamater and the screws are alot closer together ,the mountey is much larger in diameter and screws are spaced further apart

for that steering wheel you will need a momo boss and they are £30 from watford classic cars

right so to get this wheel to fit I need a momo Capri boss to give me the right length. I'll ring them tomorrow cos I can't find any momo ones on the ebay list only mountney.

that is if you have a steering wheel with the same depth as a smiley one yes. watford classic car had to order me one in it took 2 weeks

bad description that one!! i'd guess he's wrong

looks like a momo size boss to me!!!

I'll also ask for a length on the 2 bosses then!! and compare that to what's on there now and that should get me a rough idea.....

glad that is just a rubbish description!! I've had a quick comparison of momo - mountney on ebay and there is quite a difference in the position of the holes so should be quite easy to tell apart.

I've spoken to a few places and they all can only get a momo compatible boss for a Ford Capri mk 1,2&3 and not the one for a transit. So i'm going to order that one, £29.95 + £6.95 p+p .
