help with 24v cosworth conversion

its a swb 14 inch stud pattern but its got 15 inch allesio alloys {with 14inch stud pattern } its de locked ,chrome a frame, 2 x escort turbo seats ,its silver with metal flake through the lacker ,elec windows and toad cat one alarm

think a sierra 4x4 adapter plate should do {i think}

Nope they dont have one!!!
SVO V6 trannys only!!!
and your axle you can get a 3.89 from a minibus - but you might not need one that low 4.11s are available but rare too!!

i was thinking of modding a petrol adapterplate - probly easier than finding a proper V6 one!!!

yep i was extreeeemly luky, i had a slight running problem with the engine in my riot bus so a mate (now a very good mate )gave me a spare engine from an ex police tranny with adapter plate, manifolds, and engine mounts still attached

what year of minibus is these diffs on and how do u know its the rite diff where is the numbers printed printed

the numbers are on a small tag bolted under one of the diff rear cover bolts

the only info i have on what years is from a haynes manual that covers 1986 - 1999 that just says 4.11:1 fitted to some single rear wheel axels.
the ratio will be printed on the tag ie. 4.11:1 etc

have a read of this thread http://fordtransit.org/forum/viewtopic. ... sc&start=0 near the end- try to work out your speed and what revs you will need at that speed- if you get what i mean!!
I was after a minibus diff for mine but after working it out i think it might be too low geared for towing and knock too much off my acceleration!! and if your fitting a 24v you could do with decent acceleration to boy racers etc.

the lower the ratio the higher the top speed (but slower acceleration )
4.11:1 is the lowest ive heard of but haynes also list a 3.9:1 ?
