Cylinder 2 - 28 bar
Cylinder 3 - 36 bar
Cylinder 4 - 37 bar

Not sure how quickly it got there

1 bar is roughly 14.5 psi
Even if you don't need it, grab it.
The minute you do need it, it'll be gone.

Head was tested by proffesional who said that he couldn't find any cracks he also said it wasn't warped.

couldnt see any cracks in pistons and i also filled the cylinders with oil and they didnt go down, i have also checked the valves and they all seem OK

This was very thin machine oil

The van is generally gutless and very difficult to start in the cold and sits there pumping out white smoke before finaly springing into life

You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

di,s do tend to fume out of the rocker cover if its running on thin oil, also as 100ps says have you pulled the dipstick out when its running ,if its fumeing out of there then you have ring problems, but very unlikely for the miles the van has done! maybe a pump falt if its smokeing ,has the cambelt been done is the timeing correct?????,this will make it smoke and underpowerd if its not!

There is nothing out the dipstick hole. i have just got it started again and tested it and it seems to warm up quicker and a slight improvment but not a lot. i am going to check the timing later and get the injectors tested
