hi steve here again!what a shitty job,ive dropped the pan and did it the crappy way, anyway i had to source the gasket ,filter, and got some usful info, the box is a a41d and that it is acsecable to to get to the governer to service it,if need be ,thing is im working blind at the moment still awaiting manual, should be tommorow ,also ther is 2 kinds one with censor and one with governer so i will see what the bible says!see wich one ive got,i was thinking of dumping the oil back in and crossing fingers,he also said that the valve body is a common fault on these ,and costs heaps, anyway we,ll try this
avenue first,if its the sensor type then source auto electrican thanks for the advice guys much apreciated, if any one has any more ideas, feal free to speak up,oh by the way the oil i was told to use was dexron3 ,i havent opend

Refill capacity (Without torque converter) is just over a gallon ( or roughly six litres ) depending on how much oil comes out of the torque converter and if you blow out the cooling rad as well :D

The capacity of the whole system is 8.2 litres.

The recomended oil in mine is (which is a 2000 model A4lde) Mercon 2.
Ford spec. WSS-M2C-202-B.

Apparently this transmission oil is less prone to "braking down" under severe/heat conditions. Of which any good auto engineer can tell you HEAT is the number one killer of autoboxes :(

Just done a stall test  you should be around the 2000rpm :(

Sounds like your engine power could be down or you didn't carry out the test with the engine at normal operating temperature  :?:

In anticipation of your success I put some air in the pushbike tyres and left yesterday :) can only stop for a couple of hours :( though as a slow puncture means I'll have to be home before the tyre goes flat

Well done dude..... sometimes yer as well to bite the bullet and have a go and damn the devil..... great when it works :D not so great when it don't :(

Oh b*gger . . .didn't get yer address before I left  any chance you can send it via carrier pigeon . . . direct of course
