doing the rearcross members a doddle. mine was gone the full length ,also nearside cill and side door sill plus loads more rust. just used a top of a old drier and bits of other scrap metal approx 0.9mm thick.. bottom of van almost looks new now.. and all for the price of a mig welder and some gas and the free scrap metal. garages allways exagerate the work, hoping they get the work to be done. that trannies way to good to scrap!!!

If i had the paitence and time i would weld it my self but i havnt a clue how to do it, havnt got a welder and need to get a new van asap as i got customers ringing me pestering me about work i should be doing for them lol, it is too good to get scrappd i agree i hope some1 saves it from the scrapyard in the sky.

Sorry to hear about your van mate, looks really clean in the pics, don't scrap it, if the work is too much to take on there will be people on here willing to buy it and you should get more for it than just weighing it in, at least that way you will have the money towards another van, there are good ones out there and obviously you will be checking the underneath this time, don't hesitate to ask any questions on here that's what this forum is all about :D
