diesel pump easy to fit???

its easy to rewire for the starter just runa wire from the ignition switch to the multi plu under the bonnet, had to do it on a mates p reg one the other week

yes m8, the pump and cam are pinned at the front of the engine. The flywheels timing pin location is just below the fuel filter.

to by-pass the pats and make the starter work,lift out the tray thing on the top of the dash,on the left, theres a yellow relay, throw it in the bin and join the 2 thicker wires done bundles no problems

the fuel pumps on Transits from 1997 to 2000 are coded, but its just a bolt on part, it clamps around the fuel stop solonoid and can be unbolted and thrown away,then it leaves you with the stop solonoid ready for a normal switchable 12volt feed to stop and start the engine hope that clarifies things also the wiring that goes to the unit to be thrown has 3 wires, if you have a test lamp one is a switched 12volt supply from the ignition switch and is just what you need ,if you try to put a 12volt supply to the pats unit it will blow,you MUST remove the said unit and bin it

i take it it covers the pump immob also?

yes you do as above m8 its v easy to do, or any mechanic fitting the pump can do it for you


or then maybe the pats can be unbolted from the pump and fitted to the new pump?

some garages have the gear to do it the service manager has just left our fraud place now works for a local garage and they have the gear to do it shop around you could always try lucasss
