Nope not yet, I didn't want to wait for that.

It would likely fail on Dutch MOT (APK) for the rust, however if it fails I need to show the weld without finishing it off.
If I weld it on forehand I can apply underbody paint over all of it and there's no extra inspection on the welding.

Thats fine no problem,may i suggest you work some seam sealer all along the edges,before you underseal it and grind down those spot welds flush,be nice to see the finish and see if it goes through the MOT :wink:

seam sealer (that is what i called welding kit i assume, sticky white stuf to close off the edges) will be applied.

Last picture is with grinded down spot welds. At the moment a layer inox spray sits on top of it as it's awayting seam sealer / owatrol en underseal.

You'll want a Polyurethane sealer something like this

Its what i use good stuff too :wink: ,dont know if you can get it in holland though

for the inside of the hollow spaces (also 1 can)

additionally I tend to put owatrol oil in / on everything as it is awersome! It even works it's way UP on the metal!

yes, got trough dutch MOT (APK) today with my new welded patches and exhaust.
