Hi mate, an Essex will pep the van up a treat, Robbie Cee is happy with his and we still do the adapter plates and mountings to put it on the MT75 box, all the info you need in the thread;

If you wanted to keep your auto box then some thinking would be required as the Essex was never fitted to that box by Ford, anything can be done just that the 'impossible' might take a bit longer!

I was thinking maybe an adapter plate (the easy bit) then a adpater ring for the tourqe converter, ring would have to be balanced (the hard bit)

I converted my pinto powered mk3 to 2.9efi v6. wireing is pretty easy and i used a golf gti fuel pump with a swirl pot.
it gives around 20mpg and goes pretty well for a lwb high top twin wheel. it could do with a better ratio in the back axle as it revs quite high at cruising speeds.
i used a scooby sti rad which is huge and has the outlets in the right place, there also cheap. £45 for a new one on e-bay.
exhaust your'll have to custom make as all the places i tried for one didn't even list the v6 mk3 and your'll need the tranist v6 headers depending on what gearbox you go for, granada ones might well clear with a auto box.
