they were based on the early engines, i think they were something to do with Hendy Lennox ? If it was a j reg ambulance it would be older because of the time it would have taken to build the body etc

One of these days I'm going to get mine onto a dyno. The 100PS engine I have seems suspiciously feeble.

thats not a proper turbo fuel pump on that engine + you can prob upgrade the nozzles to 10 -20 hp . pump needs a LDA to work proper. my 2 pence worth . i will post a pic of my 160 hp TDI engine :D

The LDA is the bit that signals the pump to put more fuel in when the turbo starts to spool up

Is this the spigot that protrudes from the left side of the pump (looking at it fron the front of the van?)

If so I am assuming this works from the turbo air charge pipe ?? How does this connect?

Just that i've asked the question before and the turbo control bit has never been mentioned.
If it goes, then it's good!!

was a 100ps engine now a 140hp, then a 160hp when i put a vnt 17 turbo on as the std turbo is only fit for 140hp ish, this is the tdi fuel pump fitted that i have buit with a few nice tweeks inside

and notice the pipe coming from the inlet man to the pump LDA this tells the pump to put more fuel in when the turbo spins up .
spot the nice wheel thats going on the back of the mk1 transit
thers a nice ally intercooler going to be fitted to , i have had this engine running on the deck like this , with a bit more work and goodies i could get 220 -250hp dont no if this scrapy ford engine can take that sort of power , be diffrant if it was a VW 2.5 tdi, 250 all the way,
