ALL DONE

All working 100% perfect and i'm 100% happy with the result.

Damn i'm good :D

All wires ran in conduit, every join soldered and heat-shrank, I even used 1/2" hose over the new actuator rods and connections to keep clean. And i went to the breakers today and bought a cable carrier for the wires on the rh door (same as the one used for the no' plate lights on the lh door, just turned around.. obviously) even no exposed wires and the main unit tucked away on the inside of the front bulkhead above the pedals and too the right.

brilliant :D :D

Yeah i'm chuffed with the result kev but the effort that's gone in raises the question is it worth it ???

Mk1 and 2... definately !! An excellent mod and some uniqueness

M3> .. not really unless you don't mind the time spent.. Go to the scrappers and buy the central locking locks and actuators etc and just bolt it all in.

I've been enjoying flishing and flashing the locks though :D

I'd have done the write up on it and collated all the pics but there hasn't been enough interest on doing it to warrant my time and effort.

I'll put something together over the next few days Luke.

At least a guide would be better than nothing considering the knowledge on it i now hold on the subject.

Total cost was about £50. Time... Oh about a good solid 2 days dark winter graft !!!!!!

Think I metioned it when we met Dan, that I dont lock my van up anyway so would be of very little use to me personally...... That doesnt mean that your write up wouldnt be worth reading, just in case someone out there comes to me with a remote locking set they want fitting..........On second thoughts...I'll just give them your number.....Plumber/Locksmith extraordinare 8)

A damn site easier than without the locking already in :)

I've the same problem as you with the Mrs's car and am actually ordering this from the same seller my CDL kit is from.

i havn't seen the destructions for that but it'll be simple enough.

I looked at a vanette before buying this van. Was a proper rust bucket. not as bad as the transit that was a farm hack i looked at before that though

as for scrap yards... been years since i visited one to weigh stuff in. scrap prices are better now but still shite and i let the guys that remove all the rubbish off our jobs to keep the lot (make sure they deduct the oirth mind) :D
