Really not advisable, it has been mentioned already the torque settings are there for a reason . .
better to employ a good maintainence regime than to over tighten the wheelnuts and stretch the bolts. You can bet if you overtighten the wheelnuts the bolts will snap at the most inoppertune time
and cause maximum damage and inconvenience.
I have just been outside to my van and it took less than a minute a wheel to check the wheelnuts

. On this occasion I think common sense will prevail and chase foolishness out of the window
I have never lost a wheel off a van . . but have lost a 10" wheel off a trailer at 55 mph....fotunately no damge was caused but my heart missed several beats

as I watched the wheel bounce it's way along the motorway hardshoulder and into a field full of cows....while I was watching the wheel who was watching where I was going
