i meant cleaned them up and made sure the wires wernt lose

yes two plugs 1 into the cicarle switch and othe connets to under the dash

Doesn't that round bit need to locate correctly so that the internals can swing inside it, back and forth with the pedal action :?:

no ive not changed the courlor i just made sure they were connecting, everything as gone back together as i took it of, this is doing my head , ionly took it off to clean it up :(

Well if you've taken it apart once then you can do it again :idea: but before you do have a careful look for a small switch which is activated when the pedal is either full on or in the 'rest' position :idea: it could be this and you should be able to test it with a simple meter :!:

i dont have one of those meters , if i get a piece of wire and just bypass that little switch , would that be an idea?

It's an idea, but should it be 'on' or 'off' :?:

:idea: or run a pair of wires so tha you can connect/disconnect them :idea: Not at all happy about this TBH :(

Has got to be that round bit :( Did you open it :?: Are the contacts making contact :?:

From the technical diagram there's two contacts and they both work giving opposite value readings back to the ECU, so that tells me if one side packs up the ECU can't work out how much to rev the engine for you :( :(

its a sealed unit but i thought what the hell let see whats in it , theres like little metal contacts inside which pivert round , i knock it out of place and sunot happen and the van reved a little , so it must of gone faulty
