I am in contact right now to a company that sells special steel rims for Iveco, Scam and Bremach and the guy said he could make some 16 inch rims for my Transit. Let's see what's going to happen. There is also an option to get forged aloys, but they are so far away from any budget: around 700€ EACH!!

If going for adapters and they are possible, I found the following rims that are interesting (any thoughts on that welcome!):

Iveco Daily:
Part number: 16073
Size: 16"
Width: 5,5"
Offset: 107
Bolts: 170x6
Center: 130
Centered by: center hole

Mercedes Sprinter:

Hi,
I actually want to install 16" rims. Those 15" Transit have a PCD of 180, as mine do have a PCD of 170, so it is not possible. If it was it would be the easiest way and I would already have them and be happy :)
So I am still trying to get rims and 16" seem to be the best idea as most new vans have 16"

Reading through this old thread of mine, still the idea of getting bigger wheels is driving me. I have found a company that seems able to produce adpaters which are designed for a load of max. 3700kg per axle - more than enough for the transit. Also they can produce diameters between 30mm - 100mm.
The previously mentioned Iveco-RIM is still my choice and it has the specs listed below. I am only missing a few more infos and maybe you can help:

- What is the offset of the original Ford Transit 1990 100L 6x170 R14 rim?
--> I measured myself again with the help of a website and came to an offset of 45mm. On the internet I found 2 of those rims for sale on different sites from Poland / Russia stating it has an offset of 86. I would trust my own calculation less than anything else, but is offset 86 correct?

- What is the stud-size and thread-size?

Iveco rim:
Size: 16"
Width: 5,5"
Offset: 107
Bolts: 170x6
Center: 130
Centered by: center hole

Transit rim:
Size: 14"
Width: 5,5"
Offset: ??????????
Bolts: 170x6
Center: 130
Centered by: wheel nuts

Stud size is an M16x1 (LH thread on one side) with a 60 degree taper on the seat for the nut.

Unsure of offset - but it is often shown on the rim - look around where the mounting surface joins the rim

Thanks for the info! About the offset, I did't find it on the rims actually.. Is there a safe way of measuring? Whenever I tried to measure, I used some instructions from the web and came to different results ...

Hm... one second.. Maybe I just measured the wrong side... ?
5,5J --> 5,5 x 2,54 = 13,97cm width
rim-material-strength: ca 5mm
my measured offset: 45 -> 4,5cm
offset from different web-pages: 86 -> 8,6cm

13,97 - 4,5 - 0,5 = 8,97cm
--> 8,97 - 8,6 = 3,7mm difference
which COULD mean that I did the right maths, but poor measuring with quiet some tolerance. Only the other side of the rim would be counted. I was measuring in front of the fitted wheel, so I probably did the math for the "offset" on the outer part of the rim.... Offset should be the inner one, not the outer... Is that a correct thought?

86mm offset sounds like a twin wheel variant?
