A couple of weeks ago I bought a wooden pallet on the floor of the car.
At installation I saw a strong corrosion of the floor at the junction of the cabin and the cargo part.

For me, eliminating such damage is not a problem, but I'm old and I have no desire to do anything at all.
If it's good weather, I'll do it next weekend.

Gave it a pat and a 'there, there, you'll get us there' after the exhaust downpipe split next to the flexi.

only an 80s music fest and a 300 mile drive home to go.

At least now I know the turbo is winding up fine. Mind you, so does most of Perth this morning. :D

Got the drivers mirror twatted on a back road by a prat in a Merc van on his phone.
Couldn't get turned around to give chase (shithead didn't stop)

Wouldn't have caught up in my Di anyway :(

have a spare arm with cracked surround and good mirror.
Is it possible to pop the good mirror off the ball joint without breaking it?

Maybe.
I dismantled the mirror in details.
But it's easier to remove the fixing rim and replace the mirror insert.

Yesterday the alternator broke, I drove about 200 kilometers on the battery.
This morning I went to the car market and bought a new alternator Mitsubishi 95 A
for 110 dollars, has already installed. Also bought a new voltage regulator unit, but has not yet repaired the old alternator.

Fitted shiny new downpipe!

Had to take a chance on one off eB*y as Andrew Page's couldn't come up with the right one. My cat is fitted just in front on the silencers, but Page's drawing shows the cat in the downpipe! Pipe turned out to be the correct one, although it's listed as 2.0 TD non-cat! I suspect the 2.0 is a mistake, and non-cat is the alternative to having a cat in the downpipe. Pipe code is BM70335 from BM Catalysts. It's a really good fit too, I didn't even have to modify/remove the support bracket on the back of the gearbox.

I can't fault them on the quality of the parts though. The whole system was still the original, the parts were made in '99, and then modified from full length to side exit when it was converted to minibus to allow for the tail lift.

Today I replaced the faulty voltage regulator on the Mitsubishi alternator and assembled it. To replace the voltage regulator, I needed a soldering iron for 100 watts, rosin, solder and a hook, to separate the regulator pins from the rectifier pins.
The work took about 1 hour.
The machine is equipped with a new generator.
Retracted inside the brush regulator by fixing the wire through the holes in the body and brushes .
