My son made a start on the van today and took some pics just for you Mr Coalman :D
Looks like it needs the usual; step, inner sill, outer sill, inner wing, outer wing and some patching.

Surprised mine hadn't snapped with the corrosion that's crept in since last poking

Why do the holes never appear in the Summer

When I opened the boxes on my son's car, I found in them, in addition to dirt, coins for several euros.
Pieces of copper tubing and copper fittings for connecting such tubing.

My old propeller shaft began to vibrate. It turned out that the spline connection has large gaps. I replaced part of the propeller shaft, the gaps became smaller, vibration too.
The speedometer is broken.
The car is 30 years old.

Today I replaced the front of the propeller shaft with external splines and repaired the speedometer.
A few days ago, I mounted the LED strip in the dashboard with a glue gun and a drop of glue came off and got into the gap between the rotor and the speedometer leash and made it unusable.
I cleaned the rotor and the glue gap and the speedometer is working.

This happens often.
At the last oil change, I also could not unscrew the filter, I left the old one.
I had to pierce the filter with a sharp steel rod and unscrew the filter.
A few days ago I wrote about repairing the speedometer and replacing the splined part of the propeller shaft.
Today I rode a little.
The speedometer is working.
I even forgot that my Mk3 has a driveshaft!

Back in the fall, on my MK3 in the forest, a posterior thromotic tube burst.
I had to muffle the exit from the master cylinder and so go home.
Then I gave the car to the painter, where it stood for 8-10 weeks.
In Kiev, there are several workshops on the automotive market where any brake pipes are made to order.
I ordered a tube with M10x1 threaded ends, but I was mistaken - one is like this and the other is M12x1.
When I found out, the car market was closed for quarantine, but they changed the tip and after painting the car, I restored the brake on the rear axle to serviceability.
These are the pipe wrenches I have, and I have more "tricky" pipe wrenches - when I was younger, I was a car mechanic.

Today when trying to re install the fuel tank and discovering it was too in wieldly,I was unable the syphon fuel out.

Decided to tip it into container's.
Hmmmmmm this fell out of the filler neck.

Perhaps it's the cause of the slow filling ImageImage
