I injected a little later, gave gas and at idle the boost pressure jumped to 0.6 atmospheres.
With earlier injection under load, it barely rose to 0.5 atmospheres.
But haven't checked it yet.

A few days ago I noticed a water leak from the radiator.
Today I removed the radiator, got to the tube with a hole, crumpled the tube with pliers, found a hole on a flat surface through which water flowed.
I washed the leak area with water and detergent, dried it and sealed everything with sealant.
I've been able to fix leaks this way before.
If that doesn't work, I've already figured out another way to fix it.
It will be necessary to make a through hole in the crumpled tube and close it with a screw and nut through rubber gaskets.
It will be difficult.
But the war is on, spare parts have become expensive, and money is getting smaller.

Took the exhaust manifold off the highcube
... only 2 sheared bolts.

Stopped in the end because I needed to helicoil and I didn't have any

I played a little bit with the new camper to see what works and doesn't...

And just pit my other camper up for sale...

Repair of the radiator with sealant was successful.
Yesterday I adjusted the valve clearances.
It was possible not to touch, wear is minimal.
I found the cause of low boost pressure and crackling during acceleration - I forgot to tighten the clamp on the rubber pipe connecting the turbine to the manifold!
Today I was driving from the dacha, at the exit from Vyshgorod there is a small hill, which I like to climb with acceleration.
At 5 speeds, the boost pressure reached 1 atmosphere - as usual.

Investigated horrible rasping noise coming from the turbo area. Four exhaust manifold bolts were loose, one had nearly wound right out. Horrible noise was exhaust gasses rasping past the manifold gasket. Gasket only there because I fitted one a couple of years back.

I bought a 3.31 ratio rear axle from a 2007 Transit at the beginning of the year and wanted to install it on my '90 Transit.
But a full-scale invasion of the Russian army into Ukraine began, and the war has been going on for the fifth month.
Four months ago we left Kyiv and wrote that there would still be warm days for axle replacement, but will there be peaceful days for this?
Those days are here - today I rolled out the old axle and installed a 2007 axle.
As I expected, you need to shorten the driveshaft by 2 centimeters or move the axle back by 2 centimeters.
I decided that I would move the rear axle.

Started to take gearbox off for third time to replace the gasket on plate around rear crankshaft oil seal. Changed oil seal twice before working out it's probably the holding plate gasket leaking. Hope it is that, don't wanna drop the box off a 4th time.
Every day a school day!

Live and learn!
Today, after work, I went to the garage, removed the rear axle, re-drilled the holes for the centering pins in the platforms and reinstalled the axle on the car.
Tried on the cardan shaft, it becomes no problem.
I moved the axle 25 millimeters back, drilled holes in front of the factory ones.
I will put the cardan, shock absorbers, connect the hydraulics of the brake system on other days. Maybe I will have time in one day.

Today I tightened the nuts on the Y-studs, installed the shock absorbers, installed the driveshaft and bled the rear brake circuit and even drove about 10 meters through the garage!
The shock absorbers turned out to be of different lengths in the extended position: 50 and 54 centimeters. Both should be no shorter than 54 centimeters. The short one breaks on bumps.
I have another 54 centimeters.
I did not install a handbrake cable and although the brake system is full, there is a lot of brake pedal travel and a sluggish brake.
The difference in gear ratio is 4.11 and 3.31 20%, acceleration will be sluggish and you will have to move more in low gears, but on country roads you can hope for some fuel economy.
The speedometer and odometer readings will change by 20% down.
With a speed reading of 100 km, an hour, the real speed will be 120 km / h, with an odometer reading of 100 km, the real mileage will be 120 km. Or miles / hour and miles.
But something tells me that it will not work to accelerate the 90 Transit to a speed of 100 miles / hour.

Today, after work, I went to the garage to change one rear shock absorber, put the front wheels with summer tires and bring the rear brake pads to the discs.
I only had time to replace the shock absorber and it started to rain.
I got soaked in the rain and even worse, lying in a puddle under the car.
I had a hard time unscrewing the top bolt of the rear shock absorber - over the years, rust has made the size of the bolt head and nut less than 17 mm, but not enough to be able to use 16 mm wrenches.

Today I installed the front wheels with summer tires and drove home on the rear axle from a 2007 Transit with a 3.31 ratio instead of the stock 4.11 or the latest 4.56.
Compared to the standard gear ratio decreased by 20%, and from 4.56 to 31%.
The car has become harder and longer to accelerate, in the city, if you follow the Traffic Rules, you will have to drive in 4th gear.
Due to the fact that I moved the rear axle back, the rear wheels became almost in the center of the rear arches.
We'll see how fuel consumption changes.

done so much over the last couple of months. Transit 190L with a turbo/intercooler fitted, welded the chassis, new panels all around, rev counter clock, just a few welds left to go, wash the roof and its time for MOT :)

A lot has been done.
I wish you success!
I continue to master the technique of driving on the main pair with a gear ratio of 3.31.
In fifth gear, you can move at a minimum real speed of 70 km / h, according to the speedometer 60 km / h.

thanks, when all is done Im going to start looking for an LSD, and a rear roll bar (seemingly very rare) it will be the final upgrade for the van. Im really looking forward to driving it again, its been off road for a year. I put a battery in it the other day and it started straight away and has lots of power from the turbo :D

Also cleaned the roof today, took hours with a scouring pad and bleach, now its nice and bright white again :)
