not perfect by any means but should pass a casual inspection. :)
Haven't found a matching Diamond White spray can yet so its a horrible cream colour . I'll make that discussion a separate thread

nice job !... did you use a primer or just a top coat ?
how easy is it to paint the plastic bumpers ? did that need a special primer ?

First thing we did was flat the whole thing down. After spending all of last summer welding it and fitting new panels etc the bodywork was in good condition. Then went over it with white spirit and taped everything off. Paint was Rustoleum Combicolor, which doesn't require a primer or clear. As for the bumpers we etch primed them first, I think the combicolor will stick to plastic bumpers but weren't 100% sure so primed them anyway! The finish isn't bad, but a bit orange peely so at some point we'll flat it back and polish it.

Your door repair looks good! I could never find a diamond white that came close either, van was many shades of white before we painted it!

Two weeks ago I made a trip to Ukraine to my brother.
The length of the route is just over 720 km.
Half the way the road is very good, half-bad. I traveled at a speed of 100 km / h, half-no more than 80 km / hour.
The fuel consumption there was 6,8 l / 100 km, back-7,2 l / 100 km.
I think this is a great result for a 28 year old car!

I found rust on the left front threshold.
He punched a hole with his finger, then with a hammer.
For a very long time I could not begin the repair.
But he did.

I did not clean the seam on the doorstep-just laziness.

Got a fresh MOT :D :D

Failed last week, had welding done, replaced the off side front break caliper and bled the system.
Oil change next.

Replaced the clutch plate. And surprise: the old clutch plate was mounted the wrong way. No wonder the clutch did not feet good.

By the way. Made a handy gear box cart from a piece of wood, four lawn mower wheels and two old jacks. Really easy to dis- and reconnect the gear box from/to the engine.

Finally decided the minibus is toooo far gone to repair so started to prepare it for the final journey. Drained half a tank of diesel by idling the motor with the I.P. fuel return pipe running into a big container or several. Blocked the filter where it usually fits. The lift pump really moves a lot of fuel, only took 30 mins, leaving enough in the tank to move the bus to where the scrap man can load it.
Anyone want SWB minibus windows etc

Sorry to hear that.
I had to admit defeat on my last van :(

Not today (yesterday) did 162 uneventful miles delivering coal in mine :)
