Tried to solve filckering HIDs by adding capacitors across the power leads. No dice... :( Might either A) buy new HID kit or B) look into Nightbreakers...

yup olive drab, its a nice colour and cheap, really bloody cheap. sanded and filled/primed the door pillars today for a redo, eventually this van will be good enough for pics on here.

Hi lads first post here,
Bought this ex local hospital van with windows before Christmas, after some light welding on the sills, few leaf spring bushes, and a tidy up, she flew her DOE (irish version of MOT), have since painted up the wheels and tidied up the body work a bit more, added a 52” LED light bar, a height adjustable towbar, a new rear bumper, and few other bits and pieces,
Really happy with how it drives, yes a little slow but a great tow wagon and not too bad on juice

MOT time :(

Pass with advisories :D

Service brake fluctuating (shows up on rollers not when driving)
wheel bearing slightly noisy (bearing kit on passanger seat just welding took longer than I expected so didn't get to fit it)
ARB has slight play (hmmmmm new bushes fitted the other day)
1 tyre worn (due to limping home when the shocker/top turret went tits up the other month)
Told him to order tyre because I was aware of this before he started the test

Total cost inc test fee/service stuff/tyre /metal/wire and other assorted bits............
£281.45
not bad for a 20 year old van

Obviously any labour was done by me for nowt

Took off thermostat housing (plastic) to investigate leak. fitted new temp sender as the one on it works intermittantly. LIGHTLY coated threads and mating surfaces with high temp silicone. connected temp sender and gauge shows 119degrees cold... WTF???
Oh and raised leak off pipe to try and cure rough running problem.
Also fitted a USB socket with volt meter and switch for the leisure battery. :D
