This could be one of the reasons.
The main reason for the slow filling of the tank is a plastic tab in the filler neck of the fuel tank.

Just poured it back in and no problems

We'll see if its cured next time I use the fuel pump at the garage.

Took the engine & box out of the mk4 im breaking & there's a plastic cover around the bellhousing

today I have decided to order front flexi pipes for the brakes.
the slight bind on the drivers side is back or indeed never really left.

New blower resistor, the later type next to the blower itself. Glad it wasn't on the Mk7, that looks a right one to get at.

Confident all welding in wheel arches and surrounding area is completed.
Sprayed it with under tar.

Finished welding
Sprayed with a couple or 3/cans of hides all.

Changed the flexi on the drivers side brakes due to binding.
Problem now solved

Van test today and good to go for 12 months or until something falls off,which ever comes first

I know what you mean about something falling off... I took the 'Cube for an Mot in January, it passes, then a week later I found an 18" length in the bottom of my wing that needed welding. No idea how that was missed by the MoT'er.

Mounted LED driving lights.
The LED lights increased the charging voltage by 0.3 V compared to using the headlights.

The LEDs also seem to scare away all other passengers on the ferry.
