Exhaust Manifold

Postby Philbr » Fri Aug 24, 2018 8:22 am

Does anyone know what manifold this is please?
My mechanic said it is 4 stud but can't seem to find any to match.

I need to find one as mine is warped!

Unless he's paid £1,000,000 to photobucket it won't work.
They started charging a while back.

It's a 3 stud.
2 you can see and the awkward 1 hidden.

Looks like fubar gaskets rather than warped manifold though

Thanks for the replies.

Do you have a link to the one I need. Are they available new?
It was the mechanic who had it off and told me it was warped (and 4 stud I believe!?)

Sorry, forgot to mention it's a 2.5di 'banana'
But It is thrown in my MK3 which is why I am having trouble as it doesn't correspond with the reg of the vehicle!

The elusive 3rd stud.
Don't know if you'll get 1 new but,you could get it skimmed/finished to make the face true again or put 2 gaskets on the offending ports to make up.
Pics must have been before the garage took it off.

Thanks for the picture and advice.

Someone mentioned to me about getting it skimmed but it's my daily work horse and didn't know how long it would be off the road for as it would be done by a 'friend' who as everyone knows, 1 hour at work quickly turns into a week of excuses!
