Mk2 granada clocks into a mk4 transit

Postby madmartin » Sat Sep 22, 2018 5:35 pm

Hi all have a set of mk2 granada clocks with rev counter I would like to fit into my petrol transit. Has it been done before? Any pointers greatly appreciated
Many thanks Martin

Can't answer your question specifically but I have some experience with upgrading the mk2 fiesta speedo to the xr2 speedo which consisted of power plus and minus and low coil pulse to pin 3 of the rev counter, the remaining lights were basically metered and wired accordingly into the connector, analogue with basic power wires for each warning light which were bulbs iirc. I vaguely recall keeping the speedo though as I think the correction was different.
Used to work on friction in those days so you could adjust it a bit.

If the motors have the same number of cylinders, then the tachometer will show correctly.
