Bolt for the propeller shaft

Postby Kjeles » Tue Sep 25, 2018 10:51 pm

Where can I e-buy the bolt connecting the two parts of the propeller shaft (labelled '1' on the illustration below)?
It is a UNF 3/8" x 1 1/4". The old bolt has Class 10.9 strength – equiv. to Grade 8. I suppose a replacement bolt should be of the same quality?
I got a new bolt from GWR Fasteners (e-Bay), but it's Grade 5 – equiv. to Class 8.8.

Sorry for a misleading posting. It's not supposed to be a UNF 3/8" bolt afterall. A previous owner has apparently used a wrong bolt and damaged the threads of my shaft.
According to http://www.fordopedia.org/parts-catalog ... -mk3/C1.10 andhttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Ford ... 2721186952, the right bolt is M10 x 1.0 x 25 mm.
