Common silicone sealer, stuff like Hylomar as well as cutting one out of a sheet of gasket paper will all work. I usually go for the Hylomar like stuff (which in itself is a kind of silicone sealer, though a natural one), it's the less fuss.
Combining the old gasket, if it's still in shape, with Hylomar even works better.
Ciao, Kai
I've just recently finished swapping my Lucas EPIC Injection Pump to a Denso and while I was under the bonnet I removed the EGR hardware. As posted earlier, I used exhaust manifold material on the Exhaust blanking plate, but used "Permatex Gasket Maker" on the inlet manifold. The inlet gasket shown on my earlier post was cut simultaneously as the blanking plate was being waterjet cut. I didn't realise you were here in Oz, so didn't suggest a product that may be unavailable in your home country. However, now I know you live in the lucky country, I can tell you that the pictured product is available from AutoPro and is intended for the job you are doing. Hope it all goes well.Fo-Banshee wrote:I'm running stock boost, only new to these vans so still finding my legs
Is the Stixall removable? Is it still easy to split the joints if needed after using it if I had to remove the part for any reason?
