When you pinned it up to put the belt on did you slacken the bolts that hold belt sprocket to the pump and tighten it up when belt adjusted if you don’t it can put the pump timeing out by a degree or so

Pin the motor. Take out the IP pin and replace with a smaller pin/drill, try 5mm. Loosen the four bolts on the pulley and turn the pump hub clockwise. Tighten the four bolts and see if it improves. If it does try a 3mm drill, Sounds like the pump boss may have been out of place.

It lives. Thanks all for the help. :D
Had to take belt off. It was a full tooth out, still smoked at full adjustment so took it a tooth & used a 5mm drill.
