i had to swap out my motor 2 weeks ago and you do indeed need to remove the middle fascia panel (2 screws hidden behind the speedo console cover so this needs unfastening first
i had already cut the front of the housing where the motor sat as last time i was in there i failed to get my motor out (the brushes had worn out) but this time i took the two heater pipes out one from the hole in the middlew and one by your left foot if r/h drive
do be sure to see why no electric first though
the motor body turns say 1 inch anti clockwise to free it from the heater housing
i bought s/h off ebay from a breaker as i reckoned a used ford part was better than a chinese copy, its the same as the mk6 according to what i read and it cost £20 delivered very very quickly
Return to Mk 3, 4 & 5 - Second Generation Transits
