Lucas CAV DPS

Hi, Im hoping someone can give me some advise! But I think I know what the out come will be! I have a 2.5D with a Lucas CAV DPS pump on it, 1st problem is I can not stop the advance valve from pouring out diesel! that being the one at the bottom of the pump on the outside, not the one concealed on the block side! I have tried a kit and various other washers but no good! Still pumping out diesel! Now the 2nd problem! After the last time I tried to seal the leak I found one of the plastic collars on the valve had disappeared! I am thinking it has gone into the pump! Now when i start her she is pumping out white / blue smoke and is running like a pig! my thoughts are that the pump maybe screwed! All injectors are brand new! Any thoughts anyone? Please.

Cheers! Thats what I was thinking! But trying buy one is like trying to find rocking horse crap! Plenty of Bosch pumps about but no Lucas DPS pumps!.

I took a Lucas pump of a turbo engine which I didn't use in the end and still have, it may be the same pump as yours, what are the numbers on your pump?

DPS and EPIC arn't the same.

You can swap the DPS for bosch, provided you have the bosch steel pipes to injectors, the brackets/fuel feed/return pipes and the cambelt pulley
