Accelerator pedal spring

The spring that is supposed to be behind the actual accelerator pedal is missing in my van so the pedal moved up and down, any idea on where I can get a new one and how I can fit it?

There is no spring on the pedal its built into the cable at the pump end as seen in your heater thread

Sorry if it didn’t make myself clear, there is something (might not be a spring) that keeps the pedal from moving up and down. I have circled the area where it is forms picture form google images.
