electric windows

Postby escort » Mon Aug 05, 2019 8:27 pm

hi all
ive got a few questions regarding my project to fit mk5 doors with electric windows to my mk4 camper
what is this TIS disc im told is better than a haynes manual for wiring diagrams etc
also am i right in thinking the door switches should illuminate? if so theres only 6 pins in the swicth the 7th should be poer for the illumination
also after fitting the doors i intend to feed both doors via a fuse [what size 20 amp?] also do i have to fit a relay? for this feed? thanks for your help george

Go find a breaker and take the complete loom out then strip out the window/mirror wires to fit as an auxiliary loom in your van.

Can only confirm that the switches are indeed supposed to be illuminated.

Just checked, they come on when the ignition is switched on.

Light switch has no influence.
