Van rear wheel clearance?

Postby Gavin » Fri Aug 16, 2019 2:39 pm

Can anyone do me a favour and measure what the clearance between the inner edge of the rear wheel / tyre and the lip of the body at the inner arch is please?

I'm fitting a mk3 axle into a mk4 panel van and the mk4 wheels won't fit, they're too close. I'm having them banded anyway so will have them modded to fit, just need to know how much clearance i need.

Or if anyone knows how much i need just let me know!

The horizontal distance from the side of the tire to the inner body lip on my Mk3 is 2.5 cm. The tire is a 195/14.
