Electric window+mirror conversions

Postby Abcd123 » Sun Nov 10, 2019 3:40 pm

Hi I would like to fit electric windows and mirrors to my van. I’ve read on other threads that it’s possible IF the wiring is there. Please can somebody let me know where the wiring will be so I can check I have it before I was to find and purchase the electric windows ect.

The wiring, if present will be attached to a small metal plate on the inside of the A post where the lower door hinge bolts onto. If you have a low spec loom the van side of the loom will only have a couple of wires for the door speaker if it's a high spec(what you need) the plug will be almost full of wiring on the van side. You will also gain central locking if you get full door looms and switches ect.
Cause your van is a LHD you will need the parts from a left hand drive mirror glass angles and switches on the doorcard will be wrong

Thanks for reply, the van I want to fit the mirrors and windows too is an RHD. The LHD van is not registered in the UK and is just parked up yet.

Hi I had a look at the loom and there only 2 words so I assume I have the low spec:( Can someone just confirm I am looking at the right loom and confirm that’s it the low spec.

Hi, i checked for more plugs/wires today and found these one sub the picture, is this the high spec loom or are these wires for something else. They were a little higher than the previous wiring.

Not good news I’m afraid :x the high spec loom will have both the big plugs almost full of wires on the van side of the plug and from that picture yours is a low spec loom.
