This engine has not glow plugs in engine had, but it has flame start burner (flame plug) in intake manifold. His work is indicated by yellow light on dashboard - same as in vans with glow plugs.
Usually it works from -5 C deg. Second thing - flame plug works long time after engine start - because of ecology. It reduces the time of cold engine work, during which is bigger injection dose and bigger wrong (incorrect) exhaust emission (same as glow plugs in later diesel engines).MinorMatt wrote:The flame plug was fitted as an aid for starting at -20 celcius
