Purpose of small parts with oil pan seal?

What is the purpose of the two small rings and the two rectangular pads that are included in the oil pan seal set (Pinto 2.0 L)? See photo.

Not sure about the black washers / seals, I have two gasket sets in the garage one a cheap set and one a Burtons power set and neather have the seals you have here.... Have you a better photo of them next to a coin for the size comparison

but I can help with the wedges

They fit at the rear crank seal and push in just before fitting the rubber strip

It takes thousands of nuts to hold a Transit together but only one nut behind the wheel to distribute them all over the road...
