bosch pump 2.5 di leaking from front

Just been speaking to a diesel specialist & he says the leak isnt from the driveshaft seal, its from something on the top that can be repaired in situ.
Anone know what this is & how to fix it?

Clean the pump and then stick some kitchen roll around it and run the engine and find for definite where its coming from.
It could be the throtle shaft o ring(s), which can be done by taking the top of the pump off but it's a right fiddly job to do in situ if you aren't familiar with these pumps, the rear allen bolt nearest the engine is a fecker to get to and hooking the throttle shaft back up the to the governor is tricky in situ.

two o rings on the throttle shaft are number 66 in the diagram.
