Replacing front anti roll bar bushes.......

Postby vanfox » Mon Sep 07, 2020 3:36 pm

MOT man, he says front ARB bushes need replacing, OK, out with the torx key, out with the rust, torx key just turns, bolt stays still.
20 yrs of rust has got its' revenge. So, how do you get the rusted, solid bolts out. No longer have access to bottles. Anyone?

Good luck...

Weld something on to them, or grind the head off

I'm in the same position with the hicube, I'mgoing to try welding a bar on, though I'm tempted to drill it out and retap the hole.

Have to heat them to have any chance of removing if been in awhile.

Welding a nut on is the usual option if rounded
