Problems with new Solenoid on the Epic

Postby Illi1981 » Tue Nov 10, 2020 2:43 pm

Hi folks, a friend of mine has replaced the shut-off valve on the Epic and now it no longer starts. Do you have any tips what he can do? can it be that the shut-off valve is stuck? The diesel line has already loosened, but nothing happens, no diesel reaches the injection nozzles. Thank you and Greetings from Germany!!

It was checked again. it was due to the new spring. it was probably too strong. the problem was not completely resolved. the cam control is indicated by lucas laser. who can help us how can we proceed?

Does it have a fault code for pump temperature as well?

There is no code with temperature..It´s the Fault Code Number 43. The Information from the Lucas Laser is a false Loopcontrol from the sensor "Cam Control" The Epic Pump is a DSA 947 ....I hope my English is okay :-)

Yes, you english is good!

That fault normally needs a new injection pump. However if its intermittant you might be able to repair it by adding extra lubrication (mineral 2 stroke oil 1:100 ratio) to the diesel

Thank you very much for your feedback!! The Problem is between 90-110 Km/H . It`s going to the Limp Mode. After Restart and "normal" drive it`s okay. I think, my friend test it with oil in the diesel fuel..
