Postby escort » Sun Mar 21, 2021 9:04 pm

hi all
finaly finished restoring my 1996 camper will post some fotos on here
when driving home from workshop i noticed some blue smoke [ not noticed it before i took it off road [about 2 years]
done loads of work on her mostly bodywork etc
change oil and filter using 10/40 semi
could it be smokey due to standing? and will clear??
thanks george

Maybe better off with non synthetic oil I’ve heard of this happening when changing from mineral oil to semi synthetic oil on older engines with some mileage on them .

Sorry I Carnot remember the viscosity I used on my di if you drain the oil and change the filter you will not get all the oil out so will still have some Semisynthetic In it you could undo the filter enough to drain it .
