Postby Pdiddybigbear » Tue Mar 23, 2021 2:57 pm

Hi all :)

My transit is a mk3 2.5 di 1987 and i need new brake pads, its currently up on ramps and to save the fuss of getting it down to jack it up to remove the wheels to check what pads does anyone know what shape of pads i need before I buy them as there seems to be multiple to pick

Thanks,

There are multiples to pick and there are at least 2 at that age.

Is it a lwb or swb?

A twin wheeler, nice.

That's a rather swanky looking set of rims you've got there. 8)

Looking at Catcar.info you have a choice of two, depending on whether you have 2 pot or 4 pot calipers. You'll need a look at the caliper to see which.

They will be 4 pot.

4 pot is LWB (6 stud wheels), 2 post is SWB (5 stud)

Fairly sure its none of those (by the shape)

Just go to a proper motor factor and you should get the right ones - will be cheaper too

Brembo Part no appears to be PA6001

104.9mm wide x 18mm thich, 74.7mm tall, lockheed system.

Looks like the bottom 2 in the euro's listing.

Same Pads as Landies use (their part no is RTC3273, RTC3279 or STC2956)
