Rear shock question :)

Hey, I need to replace one of my rear shocks on my mk3 chassis cab motorhome conversion.

I’m a big believer in upgrade don’t replace (where possible)
Can anyone suggest a stronger or uprated shocks that I can fit rather than the standard mk3 ones ?

If you're setting up the suspension of a race or rally car, I can see that fitting uprated dampers would have some sort of effect on the performance of the car, but on a Transit van, they just need to damp the bounce of the spring, a cart spring, chosen for their load lugging ability, not their performance.

Fitting new, unworn dampers, will be a major upgrade in itself, they are one of those components that you don't notice how much they deteriorate, until you fit new ones

I had a bmw e92 and hated the ride, when I was checking it over the rear damper had sh*t itself and there was no juice in it, whacked on a new pair and it was a different car.

Generally speaking, use a known brand and they'll work better for longer.
